Research and Services English Center

RESEC is a center of investigation, transfer of technology, extension and English services of the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, which was initiated on the 19 of December, 2003.

This is a support to the School of Language and Literature, to expand its functions and develop the infrastructure necessary to teach both English and French. 

RESEC was founded because of the necessity to make people aware of the mission of  Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja in the area of English through the formation of creative entities that prepare students to participate in society.  On the other hand, this CITTES will organize group projects and research to reach new levels of success. All of these new accomplishments can be used to serve the community, for this reason we have excellent professionals who are prepared for teaching.

VISION: 

Our vision is, through Christian Humanism, to academically prepare the UTPL community of the present and the future to teach both English and French.

MISSION:

To achieve in each student the maximum level of knowledge of English and French, so that the languages can be instruments which permit students to involve themselves in a globalized world.

OBJECTIVES:

• To train the university community through English teaching.
• To offer translation service and general English courses.
• To organize events related to congresses and continuous training directed to teachers and students in the English field.
• To offer society the opportunity to take the TOEFL iBT test.
