CALED ADVISING

CALED

The Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Quality in Distance Higher Education, CALED, offers national and international advising related to Higher Distance Education and the self-evaluation process for quality improvement.

So far this year, in January, February, March, and April, representatives of the Universidad Valle de Momboy de Venezuela, Universidad de Panamá and Universidad Escuela Administración de Negocios Colombia (EAN) visited the Distance Modality at the UTPL with the purpose of being academically advised about the organization and management of Distance Education.

The advising was given by María José Rubio, Assistant Director of CALED, and her collaborators. The representatives visited the CITTES of Via Communications and Knowledge Management in order to learn about the activities developed in these CITTES. They also learned about the activities that are being developed by the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Quality in Distance Higher Education, or CALED.

Currently, CALED is organizing courses to be offered at an international level. For this reason, a technical team of the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Quality in Distance Education is developing the “Didactic guide of evaluation for continuous training courses.” This didactic guide is being validated by a team of experts at the international level for its subsequent publication.
